Adding your Local Drives to Home in Windows 10.


After we removed favorites and recent folders in the windows 10 file explorer, now it’s time to fill that empty section with your local drives.

Things we are going to do now

  • open the registry
  • add new registry keys to Delegate folder.

Step1: Open Registry Editor as Administrator.

Press The Windows Logo, and type “regedit
you will find “regedit.exe
Right click and run it as Administrator.

Step2: Navigating to the “Delegate folder”.

“Before you find your way and mess around with Registry, it is recommended to make a backup of your registry.”

Now click through the tree in the left pane until you getDelegateFolders.

Here’s the full path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HomeFolder\NameSpace\DelegateFolders

Step 3: Define a new registry.

Paste this as the new key name:

{20d04fe0-3aea-1069-a2d8-08002b30309d}

 Step 4: Defining the String value.

double click the (Default) string in the right pane and set the value to “This PC

Step 5: Refresh!

Return to the File Explorer and refresh. Now you have your local drives at “Home“!img9
